'Once again this year, the Paolo Valenti Summer Cup has confirmed itself as one of the most significant moments in our youth sports scene. An event that is not just a sporting competition, but a laboratory of values, a moment of remembrance, and an opportunity to bring the new generations closer to the practice of sport'. These were the words of the Councillor for Sport of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Mattia Gottardi, speaking on the conclusion of the fourth edition of the Paolo Valenti Summer Cup, the tournament for under-15 footballers created to remember the Trentino footballer Paolo Valenti, who passed away in 2019 at the age of 36.
The final of the tournament was played yesterday, Sunday 24 August, on the field of the Rotte Sports Centre in Ponte Arche. The match, which was very well attended by the public, saw the victory of the Atlanta youngsters for the second year in a row, who managed to impose themselves on their opponents Juventus only in the last minutes of the second half.
