Bear M57 will be welcomed at a bear and wolf park in Hungary, where it is expected to land later today evening. The facility is located in the town of Veresegyhaz. The almost 4-year-old animal had been housed in the Casteller wildlife area since August 2020, when it attacked a young police officer on duty at the Andalo station, along the illuminated promenade near the village sports area, on a Saturday evening in the middle of the tourist season. In at least seven cases, the plantigrade had insistently followed people, in at least two cases it had been stationed for a long time in built-up areas, in at least five cases it had shown particular confidence by staying in the immediate vicinity of people, and in at least 14 cases it had fed on bins containing organic waste.
