'Amos, you're world class' read the sign posted on the cab of a tractor parked along the road leading to the Palacurling. The entire community of Cembra stopped this afternoon to celebrate the extraordinary Olympic gold medal won in mixed curling by 26-year-old Mosaner and Stefania Constantini from Veneto. The meeting point could only be the sports facility on the outskirts of the town, amidst goliardic jubilation, good music and a few toasts. This is where Amos Mosaner grew up as an athlete and approached training with enthusiasm and tenacity. "It is a great satisfaction for this land, where Amos Mosaner took his first steps in curling and grew to achieve a splendid and well-deserved result such as gold at the Olympic Games, the result of perseverance and sacrifice. Sincere thanks go to him on behalf of the whole of Trentino: we are waiting for him to celebrate this victory, after the team competition on Sunday,' were the words of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, who wished to congratulate the athlete's father, Adolfo Mosaner, in person. Already half an hour after his son's award ceremony in Beijing, he was busy cleaning the Palacurling rink, where the young athletes of the town were competing in a match.
