The 'new Urban Pass', which came into force on Monday, 7 February, and which allows free transit on the section of the A22 motorway between Trento Nord and Rovereto Sud, is gaining in popularity among Trentino residents. This was underlined with satisfaction by the president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, who signed the relevant agreement with the managing director of Autobrennero, Diego Cattoni. 'The new requests,' explains Fugatti, 'in the space of a week were about 2,000. Almost 200 are already active, more than 1,700 in the pipeline. The number of members of the 'old Urban Pass' who have already started using the 'new one' totals 3430."
"The data of this first week are particularly relevant," comments A22 CEO Cattoni, "both in terms of requests via telematics and in relation to the numerous telephone calls that have arrived at the company and which demonstrate the interest aroused by this initiative, which makes it possible to make traffic flow more smoothly, reducing pollution and using the existing infrastructure more efficiently.
"The measure, conceived to meet the needs of commuters travelling between Vallagarina and the provincial capital, is therefore working," concludes President Fugatti, "and it allows for a more streamlined journey and allows users to save money and time.
