In Rimini, the great gathering of the Alpine troops reached its climax today with the gathering and parade of thousands of Alpine soldiers from all over Italy, including some 4,500 from Trentino. The president of the Autonomous Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti was present, together with the provincial councillors for education, university and culture Mirko Bisesti and for health, social policies, disability and family Stefania Segnana. Joining Paolo Frizzi, president of the Trentino ANA, in Rimini were, among others, the sectional board of directors, national councillor Mauro Bondi, the commander of the 2nd Alpine combat engineers regiment at the 'Cesare Battisti' barracks in our provincial capital, Colonel Michele Quarto, and many mayors from Trentino municipalities, including Trento's Franco Ianeselli.
President Fugatti recalled the importance of the meeting within the Alpine Association's activities - an occasion that is even more festive today after the event was halted due to the pandemic - and the fundamental contribution of the Ana sections and the Civil Defence's Nuvola component during the Covid emergency itself and for the current emergency due to the war in Ukraine: two examples of the Trentino Black Feathers' constant commitment to our entire community.
