"We have always maintained a clear course in the very difficult game of the large carnivores that populate, by now very numerous, our territory, with all the problems that this entails. Aware of the divisive effect that this issue provokes in public opinion, especially at national level, we cannot but reiterate that the issue of safety for citizens is and will remain a priority for us. Today's acquittal restores the right serenity to those who acted with this objective in mind. We can only share this moment with those who have borne the consequences of decisions, admittedly difficult, but inspired by this principle'.
