   Trento Festival of Economics: proposals with the territory at the centre

   We continue to report on some of the many events included in the programme of the seventeenth edition of the Festival of Economics that will open in Trento on 2 June. Alongside the appointments at which Nobel Prize winners, ministers and economists will speak (we have mentioned them in a separate press release), the proposals that see the territory at the centre deserve attention.    Local self-government contract, agreement signed

   The hypothesis of agreement of the provincial collective contract of local autonomies, which concerns the staff of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Municipalities, Communities, Apsps and instrumental bodies, was signed.
   On behalf of the Provincial Council of Trento, Apran brought to the negotiating table with the trade unions a comprehensive proposal for the renewal of the economic part for the three-year contractual period 2019/2021.
   The renewal concerns both the economic recognitions that already have certain funding from the provincial budget, and some assumptions of commitment of the executive, which guarantee an overall framework of resources to be allocated to the staff of the provincial public system. "We consider the sums made available for this agreement significant," emphasises President Maurizio Fugatti, "also in light of a general economic and financial situation that is not easy to predict in its future evolution. This step reaffirms the centrality of human resources in the organisation of a public administration that is increasingly called upon to play a driving role in the development of the community'.

    Trento: Libya, cities and sustainable development at the Festival of Economics

    The REBUILD European project, which involves Trentino and 10 of Libya's main cities, is at the centre of a conference being held in Trento in the framework of the Festival of Economics. An opportunity to talk with Tamim Abdul Hafeez Al Na'as, Deputy Secretary of the Libyan Supreme Council, which represents all the country's municipalities.
    In the framework of the rich 2022 edition of the Trento Festival of Economics, dedicated to the theme "Between order and disorder" and with the presence of national and international representatives from the academic, economic, political and civil society worlds, the conference entitled "REBUILD: Libya from the local dimension" will be held on 3 June.
    Tamim Abdul Hafeez Al Na'as - Deputy Secretary of the Libyan Supreme Council, the Tripoli-based central body representing the country's 144 municipalities - will be the keynote speaker, alongside Mattia Gottardi - Councillor of the Autonomous Province of Trento for Local Authorities, International Cooperation, Transport and Mobility, and Piero Mauro Zanin - President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Council and Vice-President of the CIVEX Commission of the European Committee of the Regions.
