Having taken note of the end of the Covid emergency, the Provincial Council in the last few days decided to reinstate the fares for extra-urban one-way tickets applied before the pandemic.
As is well known, the local public transport sector was among those most affected by the health emergency, so much so that the demand for transport collapsed, with the receipts of Trentino Trasporti and Trenitalia declining by about 30% in 2021 compared to 2019, with a very slow recovery that also affects the degree of expenditure coverage.
Starting from next Monday, 13 June 2022, the same fares in force before the health emergency will therefore be reapplied, both for extra-urban one-way tickets and for the scalare card (both anonymous and named, with a pre-pandemic discount system) and for tickets purchased from smartphones (discounted by 10%) for extra-urban routes.
