Description
With the help of this Euregio project, students can actively reflect on cross-border cooperation and participate in shaping it. Initiated under the Tyrolean presidency, it was extended this year to Trentino and South Tyrol.
School classes from the entire Euregio that completed teaching units on various topics, such as history, mobility or the language of the Euregio Tyrol, South Tyrol, Trentino, and then put their knowledge into practice in a creative way, were able to win a 'Euregio does school cheque' for 500 euros to be used for school activities, which was handed over to the schools today during the award ceremony at the Science Museum - MUSE in Tento.
The Euregio makes school
As part of 'Euregio makes school', the Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino, together with the Tyrolean University of Education and the Tyrolean Directorate of Education, developed the interactive learning platform euregio.ph-tirol.at, which provides teachers and pupils with ten modules on the Euregio for use in the classroom.
Thanks to the newly developed bilingual web portal, pupils in South Tyrol and Trentino also have the opportunity to learn more about the Euregio. The units cover the history, language, music and future of the Euregio. In addition, the platform also offers a series of stories, quizzes, pictures and games.
As part of the project, a competition was held in which classes submitted their creative posters and were judged by expert juries. The winning classes were able to personally receive their 'Euregio fa scuola cheques' today in Trento.
The 2021-2022 edition saw the participation of 53 classes from the 3 territories: among them, 3 territorial juries, made up of experts and personalities from the world of education, selected the 9 winning posters, 3 per territory.
