After the setting up of the camp, in the sports area of Cles, the flag-hoisting and the greetings of the authorities, the 19th provincial camp of the volunteer fire brigade students got into full swing last night. The event, after the limitations of the pandemic, is back in Trentino after the 2019 edition was held in Austria. It will go on until Sunday 26 June, concluding with the traditional parade through the streets and manoeuvres. Between excursions, exercises, activities in the field, moments of comparison and exchange of experiences and, in the evening, also time for fun and socialising, there will be no shortage of commitments for the more than 900 participants, including students (over 600), accompanying persons and instructors.
For the Autonomous Province of Trento, Councillor Giulia Zanotelli attended the opening ceremony. "The civil protection machine of the Autonomous Province of Trento," said councillor Zanotelli, "is an excellence that is recognised nationally and internationally. The institutions are proud to be here with you. You represent the future of the Trento community. I would like to thank you firefighters, but also your families, who stand by you and support you at all times. I wish you that the camp will take you far and keep you within the fire brigade. Thanks also to the Clouds who are always present in the initiatives carried out in the area. To all of you, therefore, the Council's thanks for your daily work, which is fundamental to the community".
