Art, culture, history, traditions and territory. This is the skilful mix of ingredients that has made Ala's 'Velvet City' a unique and unparalleled event of its kind in the panorama of Trentino summer events for the past 25 years.
"An appointment of high quality," began the Councillor for Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Mirko Bisesti, bringing greetings from President Maurizio Fugatti and the entire Council, "that is developed through new collaborations with institutions at the provincial level, thus demonstrating its ability to network for the growth of the territory in many respects. Lots of events, very important collaborations, but at the basis of all this is a social fabric that is going in the right direction: thanks to the world of voluntary work and cultural associations, which the institutions must look at carefully, without forgetting, however, the great contribution of all citizens. Finding new talent and new blood is a commitment that you have shown you are able to honour in this long history of yours'.
"Focusing on the cultural offer means achieving an important spin-off on the urban and social, as well as the economic, fabric of the entire community. The towns and villages,' Bisesti continued, 'are the real wealth of this land of ours. The attention of the Autonomous Province of Trento is therefore not only focused on the great museum institutions or the most famous castles, but also on these places of sociality that tell the identity of a community and its history, also by promoting new collaborations. On our part, there will therefore be the most convinced support for the coming years as well'.
