"Schweizer and the Places of the Soul' is a journey through the art of the well-known artist of Primierotte origin. On Saturday 25 June at 5pm, there will be the inauguration of the new 'Info Point' in Piazza Brolo in Mezzano, designed by Studio Architetti Associati Schweizer, with a first exhibition dedicated to the early works of the Primiero artist, anticipated by the screening of the documentary dedicated to the artist at the Civic Centre.
On Friday 22 July at 5 p.m., in the evocative setting of Palazzo Scopoli in Tonadico, the second exhibition opens with a broad sampling of Schweizer's vast production.
"The places of the soul" recall his homeland, which he loved very much, but also France and Venice. Places where he lived and worked.
The details of the events were illustrated this morning during a press conference by Roberto Pradel (commissioner of the Primiero Community), Antonella Brunet (deputy mayor of Primiero S. Martino di Castrozza), Giampiero Zugliani (mayor of Mezzano) and Barbara Schweizer (exhibition curator), in the presence of Mirko Bisesti (councillor for culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento), who emphasised the importance of remembering those who made the name of Trentino great. "In my opinion, it is essential to succeed in bringing prestige to artists such as Schweizer, a figure who has brought Trentino to the top even outside our borders,' commented Bisesti, 'and it is even more important to do so through a cultural operation which, in addition to the artist, gives the new generations an example to follow. It is a necessary relaunching operation to remember a great artist and a great primierotto'.
