The possibility, for residents in Trentino and registered with the provincial health service, to request a contribution towards the costs of specialist examinations carried out privately, has been extended until 31 December. Only specialist examinations carried out by professionals or private facilities with the highest waiting lists are reimbursed, such as: dermatology, cardiology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, pneumology and neurology. In order to request reimbursement - within 90 days of use of the service - a National Health Service prescription is required. Excluded are examinations performed on a freelance basis in National Health Service facilities.
