The Trentino school administration has not made any planning errors with regard to the teaching staff, as stated in a note sent to the press in these hours by a trade association. In fact, as explained by the Education Councillor of the Autonomous Province of Trento, the planning of teaching staff requirements for the Trentino schools is drawn up taking into account both retirements over a three-year period - in this case the years 2020/2023 - and the competition or qualification lists in force at the time of planning.
While it is true that out of the 566 posts earmarked for tenure for this school year, about 280 tenured teachers have not been appointed, which, moreover, will be filled by substitute teaching positions, it is equally true that it seems simplistic and biased to attribute this situation to alleged planning errors on the part of the Administration. In fact, it is well known, and even more so for the ordinary competition for teaching staff, that the impossibility of fully covering requirements is attributable to factors independent of the Administration's actions.
