"The expansion of the San Lorenzo hospital continues. We are also continuing to invest in the hospital from the point of view of health personnel: in the last year and a half, we have brought in no less than five new Operative Unit directors ('primari') and three new health coordinators. A further 7 million euro will be invested, thanks to the resources of the NRP, for the construction of the Community House in Borgo Valsugana,' said the Councillor for Health, Social Policies, Disability and Family, Stefania Segnana, at the end of the meeting held yesterday at the headquarters of the Valsugana and Tesino Valley Community.
Present at the meeting - requested by the mayors of the territory - were the general director of the APSS Antonio Ferro, the general manager of the health department Giancarlo Ruscitti, the director of the provincial hospital service Pier Paolo Benetollo, the director of the Eastern District Enrico Nava, the director of the medical directorate of Borgo Valsugana Silvia Atti and the director of the infrastructure department of the APSS Debora Furlani.
Introducing the meeting, the president of the Community of Valsugana and Tesino, as well as mayor of Borgo Valsugana, Enrico Galvan, wished to thank those present: 'this is an important signal for our community, an opportunity to discuss issues concerning the health of our citizens and planning, in the short and medium term, both with regard to structures and services'.
