As announced, a new disturbed front is bringing snow and locally intense winds to Trentino. The snowfalls started weakly in the mountains during the night and this morning and are intensifying and affecting even low altitudes. All eyes are on the Valsugana where it has recently started snowing. A general intensification of precipitation is expected in the next few hours and until the afternoon; then it is expected to ease off and the snow, below 800 - 1000 metres, may turn into rain, especially in the more windy areas. The provincial operations room took stock of the situation this morning.
