   Olympics: Fugatti, good that the government will cover the higher costs, works will be completed on schedule

   The steering committee has approved the coverage of the higher costs, due to price adjustments, for sports and road works to be carried out in Trentino. This is what emerged from the meeting held in the Veneto Region palace in Venice in the presence of, among others, the host Luca Zaia, the Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini, the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti, the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana, and the Vice-President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. "We are satisfied with what emerged from the meeting because we are proceeding well with the timetable for the works we had set ourselves," Autonomous Province of Trento President Maurizio Fugatti said at the end of the meeting. As an autonomous province, in fact, we moved ahead of the government and responded to the increase in costs by budgeting the necessary resources for the design and feasibility of the Olympic sports facilities'.

    Drought, Civil Defence: do not light fires. The situation on the Sarche fire

    The Trentino Civil Defence invites citizens to avoid lighting fires of any kind. An appeal launched in light of the persistent drought that has caused particularly dry and arid conditions in the forests. This situation - also made more complicated by the strong wind - is making the fire containment operations particularly complex. Since early afternoon on Sunday, 26 February, the fire has been affecting a large wooded area upstream of the village of Sarche, estimated at just under 20 hectares. More than a hundred volunteer firefighters - coordinated by the deputy district inspector Mariano Largher and the commander of the Calavino Corps, Flavio Graziadei - are on the scene, along with personnel from the Trentino Forestry Corps led by the commander of the Vallelaghi Forestry Station, Davis Trentin.

    Serravalle, wolf carcass recovered

    The Trentino Forestry Corps has recovered the carcass of a female wolf along the SS12 road at Serravalle. The presence of the animal on the roadside was reported in the morning to the Ala forestry station. It is probable that the wolf died as a result of the impact with a vehicle: investigations are entrusted to the veterinarian.
