   Call for general interest activities, deadline for applications in the first year extended to 7 April

   On the proposal of the Councillor for Health, Social Policies, Disability and Family, Stefania Segnana, the Provincial Council has extended to 7 April 2023 the deadline by which voluntary organisations, associations for social promotion and Third Sector foundations may apply for the Call for Contributions for the implementation of activities of general interest.
   The other deadlines (1-30 November for subsequent years) and the overall structure of the call remain unchanged.

   What the Natura 2000 Network consists of

   It is an ecological network spread across the entire territory of the European Union, established under Directive 92/43/EEC "Habitats" to ensure the long-term maintenance of natural habitats and species of flora and fauna that are threatened or rare at EU level. It includes more than 27,000 protected areas identified by the member states. It covers more than 18% of Europe's land area and almost 6% of its marine area.

   Provincial Council meeting in Spormaggiore

   It was the very young members of the boys' municipal council who welcomed the President and the full Provincial Council today in Piazza della Fiera in Spormaggiore. The youngsters are committed to taking part in the life of the community through a path of active citizenship, guided by the teachers of the secondary school of Spormaggiore, which is part of the Mezzolombardo-Paganella Comprehensive Institute, and today they were able to shake hands with the highest representatives of the provincial institutions and illustrate to them the initiatives they are carrying out. After greeting the young councillors, the president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, brought a few words of greeting to the town hall. 'I thank the mayor and the city council for today's invitation. We have taken the decision to meet 'out of town', because apart from the logistical aspect, which can be complex, this is an important occasion, which allows us to meet the municipal council and to have a greater knowledge and awareness of the problems of the territory,' Fugatti said. The president also announced that the financing for the local Carabinieri barracks would go ahead, with the last formal step between the provincial administration, the municipality and the Carabinieri, which is necessary for the renovation work.

   Tourism, the 2023 plan for territorial promotion and tourism marketing approved

   After the recent measure by which an advance on 2023 funding was granted to the APTs, for a total amount of €10,434,353.13, equal to 50% of the funding granted in 2022, the Provincial Council intervenes again in the field of tourism. With a measure proposed by Councillor Roberto Failoni, the Provincial Council approved the 2023-2025 Three-Year Plan of Trentino Marketing, limited to the year 2023. It has decided to finance, on the basis of the resources currently available in the provincial budget, part of the 2023 yearly plan with € 30,470,500.00 including VAT, of which € 4,270,000.00 including VAT with resources already allocated in 2022, for an overall total in terms of financial resources of € 34,740,500.
