   Stelvio National Park Plan and Regulations

   The Stelvio National Park Plan, the main planning and protection instrument of the protected area, saw its first adoption in 2019, with further amendments in 2022, until its final adoption in July 2023.
   At the same time as the Plan, the Regulations were also adopted, an instrument that regulates the exercise of permitted, limited or prohibited activities in the Park territory.
   .
   To arrive at the approval and entry into force of the Plan it is now necessary, in conjunction with the other two sectors, to send it to the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security to acquire a binding opinion, in view of the final approval by the Provincial Council.

   National strike of Trenitalia staff on Thursday 13 July

   The Autonomous Province of Trento informs that from 03.00 on Thursday 13 to 02.00 on Friday 14 July 2023 a national strike is called by all Trenitalia staff.
   Long-distance trains will suffer cancellations and variations.
   As far as regional trains are concerned, the essential services foreseen in the event of a strike on weekdays will be guaranteed in the busiest time slots, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
   The trade union agitation may lead to changes in the service even before it begins and after it ends.

    38th anniversary of the Val di Stava Catastrophe

    19 July marks the 38th anniversary of the Stava disaster. The remembrance of the victims of one of the most serious disasters in the world due to the collapse of mine dumps will begin on the eve of the anniversary, Tuesday, 18 July, with the assembly of the 19 July Val di Stava Association, followed by the Way of the Cross, which will start at 8.30 p.m. from the locality of Pesa, and end in front of the little church of Palanca in Stava.
    The suffrage Mass in memory of the victims will be celebrated at 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 19 July, the anniversary of the catastrophe, in the cemetery at the church of San Leonardo in Tesero. The religious rite will be followed, at approximately 7.45 p.m., by the laying of a bouquet of flowers at the monument donated by the Vajont people in front of the small church of Palanca di Stava by the Alpini of the ANA Groups of Tesero and Longarone.

    Man found dead in Val d'Ambiez missing

    After several hours of searching, the hiker who disappeared last night in Val d'Ambiez was unfortunately found dead: This morning, the alarm was raised and the Trentino Civil Defence intervened with the Fire Brigade (voluntary or permanent), the Trentino Mountain Rescue Service, the Trentino Forestry Corps' dog unit, the Guardia di Finanza, the Carabinieri, 2 helicopters (one from the Trento Fire Brigade's permanent unit and one from the Guardia di Finanza). Intensive searches were conducted in the area, also taking into account the protocol envisaged for areas frequented by large carnivores. The location of the body was done using a telephone cell cross-referencing system, a technique that made it possible to circumscribe the area.
    When the rescuers located the missing person, in the vicinity of Malga Asbelz, they could unfortunately only ascertain his death, most probably due to an accidental fall.
