This morning, the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, received Elia Cerroni, Trento's Traffic Police Chief from May 2023.
It was a cordial meeting, during which the president and Dr. Cerroni had the opportunity to have a first exchange of views on the Trentino context in general and on the main challenges on the road network and road safety front, the latter being a very topical issue given the large flow of tourists and residents on the provincial roads in these summer days.
"The synergy between institutions and law enforcement agencies is fundamental to guarantee a strong presence of legality and safety in the territory,' President Fugatti said. 'Road safety is an important issue, on which we have been pushing for some time for greater control so that our roads and valleys are frequented and experienced by residents and tourists with the greatest possible safety and serenity. I therefore thank the men and women of the Traffic Police for their commitment and work at the service of the community, and I wish Dr. Cerroni good work,' concluded the president.
