Tomorrow morning at 5 a.m., the Trentino Civil Protection's Mobile Protection Column is scheduled to leave for the municipality of Mortegliano (Udine), where last week there was an intense hailstorm that devastated the roofs of buildings. Before their departure, the operators will meet at the Operational Logistics Unit in Lavis, where the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, is also expected to be present. The support operation, requested by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, is being carried out in cooperation with the South Tyrol Civil Protection and is expected to be concluded on the evening of Sunday, 6 August. For the Trentino region, 50 volunteer firefighters from the districts of Alto Garda and Ledro, Giudicarie, Valsugana and Tesino, Cles, Mezzolombardo and Trento, 11 firefighters from the Trento permanent fire brigade and 5 operators from the Risk Prevention Service, Operational Logistics Unit, are expected to intervene.
