There is something new in Rovereto. In fact, a new tailoring workshop is being set up in Via Lungo Leno destro, which will offer new opportunities to people with disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. The project, presented this morning at a press conference, is promoted by the Impronte social cooperative, established at the beginning of January a year ago through the merger of two historical cooperatives in Rovereto, 'Il Ponte' and 'Iter', and will be realised thanks to the involvement of the Helpida Foundation of Bologna and Mart, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto.
"This event," emphasised Provincial Councillor for Health, Social Policies and Cooperation Mario Tonina, "reminds us how valuable the work on the territory of realities capable of dialogue and collaboration is, in order to make our community increasingly attentive to the needs of all and increasingly inclusive. Thanks to this project, work and the dissemination of skills and abilities translate into the creation of value not only on a material level but also on a social one. Also central is the theme of reuse, so topical and important in a historical period in which intelligent use of the resources at our disposal is essential. The cooperative model, thanks to this initiative, confirms on the one hand its modernity and on the other its vocation, which derives from its history, to provide answers to the needs of the community by putting people at the centre".
