This morning the works for the new road connection between the roundabout on the S.P. 90 in Via Canè in the municipality of Mezzocorona and the roundabout at the A22 motorway exit of San Michele all'Adige were handed over. Construction work can therefore begin, and should be completed in February next year. The ceremony was attended by the president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, the mayors of San Michele all'Adige Clelia Sandri and Mezzocorona Mattia Hauser, the director of the Provincial Public Works Agency Mario Monaco, A22 managing director Diego Cattoni and A22 technical director Carlo Costa. Provincial Councillor Christian Girardi was also present.
"This is a long-awaited work," emphasised President Fugatti, "which will solve the problems related to traffic, including heavy traffic, which currently passes through the area's arterial roads. A work that sees an important collaboration between the Province, the A22, the municipalities involved, and the territories. Financed in part with provincial resources as well as those of the A22, it represents an important response to the needs of the area".
