Today is World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, an important occasion to remember the relief work carried out every day by the many volunteers who make up and animate this association. In our area, the local committee is made up of around 3,000 volunteers, 2,500 of whom are active with almost 700 under 30, and works with great commitment in favour of the Trentino community and beyond, both in health, emergency and solidarity relief activities, but also within the Civil Protection system, where it plays a valuable role, as the provincial councillor for health and social policies reminds us. And a few days ago, an important recognition also arrived for the Trentino Committee, with the gold medal of merit awarded to Alessandro Brunialti, who has been at the helm of the local association since 2009, the health councillor again points out, thanking the many volunteers who daily make themselves available to others with generosity and self-sacrifice.
