The workshop "Earthquakes in Trentino - Studies and tools for seismic risk reduction", organised by the Geological Service of the Department of Civil Protection, Forestry and Fauna of the Autonomous Province of Trento, is being held today at the Palazzo della Regione in Trento. The programme includes interventions by researchers and university lecturers, seismologists, public officials, technicians and experts to take stock of topics such as seismic monitoring, microzonation, seismic risk, territorial planning and design of works, vulnerability and anti-seismic interventions. A round table will conclude the event.
The work will also address the theme of the studies and scientific investigations developed by the Geological Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento in recent years, in close collaboration with the University of Genoa and the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics - OGS in Trieste.
