Euregio makes school, winning classes of the cross-border competition awarded in Innsbruck

Nine school classes from Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino who submitted posters or multimedia contributions to this year's 'Euregio fa scuola' competition were awarded prizes at a ceremony held yesterday at the Landhaus in Innsbruck, in the presence of the Tyrolean Minister of Education.
'Euregio fa scuola' is a participatory website for children and young people that encourages them to explore Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino on a bilingual and interactive learning platform. Classes are invited to participate in a competition in which pupils work together on a project and learn about themes and topics concerning the three territories in a fun and varied way.
The Vice-President and Education Councillor of the Autonomous Province of Trento expressed her satisfaction with the results achieved by the schools, because the activity carried out in the classroom to get to know the Euregio not only allows the students to learn more about the geographical, historical and cultural characteristics of our three regions, but also promotes greater awareness of the opportunities for dialogue and cooperation between the territories, fostering the development of a sense of belonging and of both territorial and European identity, preparing them to become active and responsible citizens, capable of building the society of the future.

Giro d'Italia, operations room activated for emergencies

The Trento Civil Defence operations room has been activated in the Trento Fire Brigade's permanent barracks to ensure coverage of any emergencies in the Trentino areas affected by today's stage of the Giro d'Italia. Under the lens the route between Selva di Val Gardena/Wolkenstein in Gröden, Primiero and the Brocon Pass. The first "tadpoles" are expected to arrive in the province of Trento at around 12.55 p.m. at Passo Sella and to reach the finish line between 4.50 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.: the first roads have already been closed. The operations room brings together the contacts of various operational structures: Civil Protection, Forestry and Fauna Department, Fire Prevention and Civil Protection Service, Risk Prevention Service and Single Emergency Centre, Road Management Service, Trentino Emergency, permanent and voluntary fire brigades with the Fiemme, Fassa, Primiero, Valsugana and Tesino Districts and the Traffic Police.
