With the handover on 25 October of the presidency of Arge Alp from the Canton Ticino to Trentino, the Autonomous Province of Trento has taken over the role of the body in charge of planning, organising and managing the institutional activities of the Working Community of Alpine Regions until the handover of the presidency to the Land Vorarlberg, which is scheduled to take place at the 56th Conference of Heads of Government, to be held in Trento at the end of October 2025.
Thanks to a measure approved today at the proposal of President Maurizio Fugatti, the Provincial Council has therefore defined some aspects related to the activities of the presidency year, officially assuming the commitment to develop the theme "Young people and mountains: projects of life, work, enterprise. Experiences of resilience'.
"At a time of profound changes in the Alpine areas, both from an environmental and demographic point of view, we intend to enhance the projects of those who live in and choose mountain territories, also because the experiences shared by young people can become an object of interest and an instrument of attraction for others of their age," said Fugatti, emphasising how Trentino's coordination of complex challenges shared by the Arge Alp regions, which have similar traits and characteristics, could contribute to a virtuous vision of territorial management.
