In the run-up to the feast of Saint Barbara, a ceremony was held yesterday, at the headquarters of the FAT warehouse in Tuenno, to award certificates of merit to the Union of Voluntary Fire Brigades of the Cles District, which includes 18 corps, in the presence of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, who is in charge of civil protection, and the provincial councillor for local authorities, as well as acting vice-president of the Autonomous Region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Giulia Zanotelli.
"The passion and emotion with which the world of the fire brigade lives the moment of Saint Barbara is an example for our communities, from the smallest to the largest, where strong feelings of values are experienced through volunteering. Together we are working to move forward along common paths, we have seen this recently in the regulatory area on procurement. In the financial law we are going to approve, we have also included resources for the construction of the headquarters of the volunteer fire brigade and other civil protection bodies at the former Arcese area in Ravina, now we can start with the planning process,' announced President Fugatti.
'For us it is always a great honour to participate in these moments. A big thank you for the work you constantly do in the area: those who have had the honour of seeing you in action have always appreciated the training, professionalism and your ability to intervene and relate with the population," added councillor Zanotelli, highlighting the significant numbers of students as an aspect that bodes well for the future of the Corps. "The Province is by your side, we are working with the schools to make children understand how important it is to dedicate their time to the community: the best gift we can all give is to make ourselves available, to try together to bring forward the concept of Autonomy and above all of service," said Zanotelli again, wishing to continue the constructive dialogue between the institutions, even in these moments that are occasions "to exchange ideas, information and projects that guarantee an important service of protection and security for our communities".
