    Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

    A classic dolomite group characterised by an elevated glaciocarpic plateau that precipitates with spires and precipices towards the Valle del Cismon and Val Canali. Towards the south, the sub-group of Cima d'Oltro detaches itself.
    The lower part is occupied by peccete (a few patches of beech and fir woods), which at the top soon give way to mugo thickets and cliffs with patches of alpine grassland. Only in the lower offshoots are there patches of mown meadows and pastures. Habitats of special interest for the purposes of the Habitats Directive are present.
    The Val Venegia is one of the most picturesque Dolomite valleys, studded with highly natural vegetation elements.
    The Paneveggio forest is of considerable landscape-environmental interest, extending on a regular north-facing slope, furrowed by the deep valleys that descend from the high peaks above.

    Alluvial plain near Croviana in the middle Val di Sole, crossed by the Torrente Noce, along which there is a band of black alder and white alder alder.

    A classic dolomite massif (with the presence of important basaltic strands), consisting of an extensive plateau furrowed to the south by the deep incision of the wild Valsorda. The bare plateau is contrasted by steep slopes, partly occupied by extensive rock faces.
    The wooded belt is only partially affected by the site.

    Scarcely anthropised pre-Alpine limestone massif. The site is centred on the wild Gulva Valley, dominated by mixed forests, and the undulating summit plateau, where alpine meadows prevail.
    On the northern slope of Colsanto, a characteristic relief of the Pasubio limestone massif, a subalpine spruce forest with scattered stone pine trees dominates.

    The site covers the northern slope of the Monte Tremalzo -Monte Caplone limestone chain between the ridge and the Palvico torrent.
    The area, which is very vast and articulated, includes the Val Lorina gorge, the steep rocky pinewoods of the drier slopes, the fir woods and gorge woods of the cooler environments, the pingui pastures of the Tremalzo basin and the grassy-rupegrous areas of the ridges and peaks.

    The biotope is located on the north-facing slopes of Colsanto and Colsantino in the Pasubio Group.
    Geologically, the area is purely calcareous, as is the entire Pasubio area.
    The salient feature is the presence of a core of stone pine, or Swiss stone pine (Pinus cembro) outside its more northerly distribution area.

    The site covers the western slope of the Lessini Group, which precipitates with steep valleys and rock falls towards the Adige Valley.
    Hardwood forests in a gorge environment and arid-rocky areas are present. The substratum is completely calcareous.

    The site covers the northern slope of the Lessini Group, on the hydrographic left of the Val dei Ronchi.
    The slope (consisting of limestone rocks), mostly wooded, is furrowed by steep valleys and is interspersed with rock walls.

    Lessini Mountains - Small Dolomites

    Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

    A mountainous-dolomitic area located in a markedly pre-Alpine environment, characterised by pinnacles and vast screes interspersed with alpine meadows, mugo pines, extensive broadleaf and silver fir forests, as well as regularly alpine pastures and grasslands.
    In the lower parts, there are significant patches of Illyrian beech forest and many valleys.
    The site includes the small Vallarsa dolomites, the Baffelan subgroup, the head and left slope of the Val d'Ala and the alpine pastures of Lessinia.

    Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

    The site covers the western slope of Monte Zugna, largely occupied by the outcrop of sloping limestone pavements and ancient landslides (marocche), only partly colonised by vegetation. Towards the north, the relatively autonomous relief of Monte Cengialto is also included, covered by thermophilous woods and relict arid meadows.

    A porphyry plateau above the village of Fornace, between Val di Cembra and Valsugana, with marshy depressions in which wet meadows (molinieti, sceneti and cariceti) with very rare species have developed.
    The forest vegetation consists of Scots pine forests and a few patches of oak woods.

    A steep slope in the north-western sector of the Brenta Dolomites, furrowed by deep valleys and interrupted by overhanging rock faces.
    The vegetation consists of beech, spruce, fir and larch woods and a small nucleus of stone pine at the head of the Val Cavai. Above the edge of the forest, alpine pastures are extensive.

    The area, located in the south-western pre-Alpine belt of Trentino, comprises two vast glacial cirques with larch and green alder formations.
    In the flat areas at the bottom of the cirques and on the slopes there are numerous low fens with Cyperaceae and a small lake bordered by a band of magnocariceti.
    There are particularly interesting habitats of both limestone and volcanic matrices in the Alpine environment. Widespread to the west, near the provincial boundary, is the sparse larch woodland with wide grasslands interrupted by rocky walls.

    Modest wooded-rupestre (limestone) slope of the mountain range located along the chain that separates the Val di Non and the Adige Valley.
    Mixed woodland and steppe herbaceous vegetation are present along the south-facing rocky slopes.

    Hillside meadows at the foot of Monte Finonchio descending towards Vallagarina.
    The site is home to some of the best-preserved orchid meadows in Trentino, which are significant in terms of vegetation. The thermophilous groves are also home to important species.
    It is of considerable interest as a transit area for birds during migration and was known in the past for the aucupium activity, carried out by means of the laying of prodine and tracts. Representative site of habitats suitable for thermophilous species.

    Wet meadow in the Monte Barco meadows, not far from the Monte della Gallina A local reserve, in the municipality of Albiano.

    The local reserve is included in the Natura 2000 area ZSC Monte Barco - Le Grave, to which reference should be made for more in-depth naturalistic information.

    A porphyry rocky spur between the Val dei Mocheni and the Piné Plateau (eastern Trentino) with Scots pine, beech and some nuclei of oak forests; in the forest clearings there are peat bogs and marshes, with sedges and wet meadows.
