    An endo-Alpine valley with considerable substrate variability (limestone, dolomite, basalts).
    The site mainly affects the hydrographic right, occupied at the bottom by coniferous forests with stone pine, at the top by species-rich pingui grasslands.
    Ridge and summit areas of the alpine belt are also included.

    The site occupies the northern slope of the Vette Feltrine, on the hydrographic left of the Val Noana.
    In the lower part there are extensive fir woods, furrowed by wild valleys occupied by subalpine bushes and consortia of tall grasses. Higher up, alpine meadows with cliffs and screes complete the landscape picture.
    Habitats of special interest are present.

    Val Duron

    A gentle valley located between the Catinaccio group and the Sasso Piatto.
    The substratum is very varied (basalts and dolomite).
    The valley floor is occupied by wide meadows furrowed by the course of the Duron stream, along which there are willow groves and small peat bogs.
    The slopes, only in the lower parts with coniferous woods with Swiss stone pine, are covered by thick grasslands on the basaltic part and by grassy-rupestine vegetation on the dolomite part.

    The Tre Cime del Cornetto, Doss d'Abramo and Cima Verde form the summit of the Monte Bondone group.
    A small valley, once occupied by a small glacier, runs northwards from them, depositing an interesting system of frontal, amphitheatre-shaped moraines.
    The vegetation consists of beech woods, mughete and alpine pastures.

    The area is located near the village of Torcegno, on the left orographic slope of the Valsugana (eastern Trentino). It presents a residual core of mesophyll deciduous forest of hornbeam, linden and oak.

    The biotope includes particular environments, represented by low and intermediate peat bogs set in a landscape context of mixed coniferous woods characteristic of the subalpine plain.
    These wetlands, typically mountainous in the mid-latitudes of Europe, are of great naturalistic interest as rare environments not only in Trentino but throughout the Italian Alps.
    They also constitute a habitat for particular and exclusive animal species and are of high botanical value due to the numerous vegetation associations that grow in them.

    Bogs of Monte Sous

    A complex of peat bogs on the mountainous reliefs of the upper Val di Non developed in slope, saddle and glacial cirque positions with little morphology, all in vast clearings in the spruce and larch woods.
    The vegetation is that of flat fens, transitional fens and raised bogs; on the outer edge of some fens, there are also patches of pecceta on peat (wooded fens).

    The biotope is located at the pass of the same name and protects some of the main peat bogs on the right side of the Fiemme Valley.

    Together with the nearby "Becco della Palua" biotope, it is also a Special Area of Conservation and is one of the protected areas that make up the Fiemme - Destra Avisio Network of Reserves.

    The biotope is located at the pass of the same name and protects some of the main peat bogs on the right side of the Fiemme Valley.

    Lavaze' peat bogs

    Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

    Local reserve - Peat bog of high floristic-vegetation interest located in Val di Fiemme near the Lavazè Pass.
    The wetland area is surrounded by pastures and woods of spruce and stone pine and is connected to another peat bog area, the Becco della Palua, by an appreciable strip of woodland.
    The vertebrate fauna is rich and varied, with numerous species of mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles inhabiting the area.

    Lomasona peat bog

    Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

    An elongated and narrow peat bog, located at the bottom of the valley in the Lomaso area (Giudicarie esteriori) and crossed by a small stream that almost at its centre forms some pools with swimming and submerged hydrophytic vegetation.
    The vegetation of the peat bog is represented by wet meadows (molinieti) and marshy meadows (cariceti), with some mounds of sphagnum moss.

    Alta Val Rendena peat bogs

    Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

    A vast area of peat bog woodlands on the slopes of the Presanella group, partly sloping, partly flat and partly wooded hummocks, with widespread natural clearings in the spruce forest.
    The vegetation consists of a complex of numerous turfic associations, which are rare on the entire southern slope of the Alps.
    There are also a few patches of spruce forest on peat (Local Reserve Wooded Peat Forest).
    Among other things, there are low fens with a predominance of Gramineae and Cyperaceae and with areas of sphagnum peat bogs, and numerous occurrences of genuine raised bogs with high substrate acidity indices.
    In the southernmost parts, extensive mugoak, both slope and peat bog, can be seen.
