The Monte San Pietro State Forest, located in the municipality of Ton, is situated in the lower Non Valley on the western slope of the ridge that separates the valley from the Adige River. The area largely coincides with the basin of the Rio San Pietro, which runs through the valley of the same name, and covers an area of about 220 hectares between 570 m and 1,873 m above sea level, where Cima Roccapiana is reached.
