Self-determination allowance for women victims of violence

  • Active

The self-determination allowance is granted to women victims of violence to support their self-reliance and the strengthening or achievement of personal autonomy.

Description

It is an economic contribution for women victims of violence taken in charge by the territorial Social Service.

The Social Service, having certified the taking into charge, prepares a customised intervention plan and determines the duration of the allowance.

The application is forwarded to the Provincial Agency for Assistance and Supplementary Welfare, which grants it.

The monthly amount of the allowance is EUR 400.00, reduced to EUR 200.00 if the applicant is a guest in a social welfare residential facility that provides board and lodging.

If the allowance is recognised for a duration of more than six months, at the end of the sixth month the territorial social services carry out monitoring for the purpose of confirming the benefit or forfeiting it, for the subsequent months already identified.

The allowance is granted for a minimum period of three months up to a maximum of twelve months, on the basis of the provisions of the customised intervention plan.

The allowance is not renewable.

Restrictions

Signature by the applicant of the customised intervention plan prepared by the territorial social service.
