Scholarship for schooling abroad in non-EU countries a. s. 2025/2026

The Autonomous Province of Trento has approved incentives for attending a school course abroad in countries outside the European Union. The intervention is financed entirely by the PAT.

It is a direct contribution to encourage attendance of the:

• Year III for students attending four-year high schools
• IV year for students attending other secondary schools

When to send the request for balance payment

The Application for Balance Clearance with related attachments must be submitted by 30 September 2026. Exclusively for participants supporting an annual period starting in 2026, it is allowed to submit the application by 29 October 2026.

N.B. The documentation requested in this paragraph is specific to the payment of the grant awarded and, therefore, is in addition to and does not replace any documentation required by the school of origin for the student's return to the next class in the 2026/2027 school year.

The student is required to

• attend the foreign school for the entire duration indicated in the application (annual or partial)
• produce, at the end of the school course, the evaluation form/final report, drawn up by the foreign institution (according to the established procedures) certifying the period of school attendance and a positive evaluation.

The application may be submitted by the same parent who applied for the grant or by the student who has come of age.

The application can be submitted from 10 a.m. on Friday 13 February 2026 by means of an IT procedure using SPID, CIE or CPS credentials (see the relevant Notice). The service will be active until midnight on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

• In the event of a change of school abroad, a Final Report for each school attended must be attached to the Application for payment.
• In the event of any failure to complete the course of study abroad, the student must promptly notify the Administration (serv.formazione@pec.provincia.tn.it ).).

If in the time between the date of submission of the Application for payment of the grant advance and the date of submission of the Application for payment of the balance, the student becomes an adult:

• The student must communicate, in the Application for Settlement form, his/her current account

  or

• The student must present a proxy for the payment of the grant to the bank account of another person (e.g. parent), using the form that must be requested from the Administration. The authentication of the signature can be carried out at the peripheral counters of the PAT, at the Professional Training, Tertiary Training and System Functions Service (Via Gilli, 3 38121 Trento 0461.497234 - by appointment) or at the municipalities.

The following documents must be submitted for payment of the balance instalment

Application for payment of the balance must be submitted from 10 a.m. on 13 February to midnight on 30 September 2026

The grant is paid in two instalments

• the first as an advance payment is equal to 50% of the total amount, (including any additional amount granted by the Administration in the case of disabled students). Please consult the Call for Proposals for details and deadlines
• the second final instalment, equal to 50% of the total amount, (including any additional amount granted by the Administration in the case of disabled students), after the conclusion of the school course, subject to verification of the final evaluation/report form completed by the foreign school

In order to maintain the benefit granted, the disbursement of the scholarship awarded is in any case subject to an assessment of learning at the end of the 2024/2025 school year with no educational deficiencies
