Internationalisation

The Autonomous Province of Trento takes care of the planning and coordination of actions for the internationalisation and attraction of foreign investment of the territorial system in its various economic-entrepreneurial, research and innovation components, liaising with the competent provincial structures, the relevant provincial companies and public and private stakeholders. Furthermore, it organises projects, missions and foreign initiatives of the Trentino economic system, coordinates and supports incoming actions, i.e. the presence in Trentino of diplomatic representatives and foreign delegations of institutional, economic and scientific nature, the necessary support and liaison between the main players in the area.

The Province supports actions in favour of enterprises to encourage an increase in the propensity and culture of internationalisation. Thanks in part to these incentives, over the last decade Trentino exports have been more dynamic than the national average, growing by almost 60% since 2012 and reaching over EUR 5 billion in the last year.

Lastly, with a view to transversal action, the Province supports the qualification and growth of Trentino enterprises through the implementation of events and organic projects aimed at the development and valorisation in foreign markets of supply chains, production districts and groups of enterprises, and encourages the promotion of synergies between the actions, organic projects and international solidarity projects it supports in the same geographical areas of intervention.
