Description
The intervention is aimed at enhancing the climatic-environmental performance of farms and improving animal welfare on livestock farms. The intervention pays particular attention to the realisation of farm investments aimed at favouring the evolution of livestock farms towards a more sustainable and ethical model, through the introduction of innovative and precision management systems that increase animal welfare and biosecurity.
These aims will be pursued through the identification of the beneficiaries of this intervention (applicants operating in the dairy and beef zootechny sector) only among the farms that have a link with the territory assessed through the application of the UBA/ha parameter, which must be less than 2.5. These holdings guarantee a garrison of the agricultural and non-agricultural areas; their presence and safeguard is an essential condition to avoid the abandonment of the areas located in the most fragile zones.
The specific aims of the Intervention are
a) rationalisation of agricultural production processes that reduce the emission of climate-altering gases (methane and nitrous oxide) and other air pollutants (ammonia) and/or increase the soil's carbon sequestration capacity.
b) encourage the evolution of livestock farming towards a more sustainable and ethical model, also through the introduction of innovative and precision management systems that increase animal welfare and biosecurity, also with reference to antimicrobial resistance.
The following investment operations are eligible under the specific purposes of intervention sheet SRD02:
1. Livestock-farming structures and structures serving production;
2. Settlement of agricultural land;
3. Machinery (non-fossil fuel) and equipment;
4. Supply of energy from renewable sources for farm needs.
Further information on eligibility criteria, eligible and non-eligible expenditure, selection criteria and how to apply for aid can be found in the text of the notice approved by decision of the Provincial Council No 1962 of 29 November 2024.
