Who it's for
Travel and Tourism Agency Managers
Operators of travel and tourism agencies are required to comply with a number of requirements laid down by the Autonomous Province of Trento.
Travel and Tourism Agency Managers
The necessary requirements for operators of travel and tourism agencies are as follows:
Copies of the insurance policies and, on each due date, the documentation proving payment of the relevant insurance premium must be forwarded to the competent Service. Failure to pay the insurance premium by the due date or to submit the relevant documentation within 2 days of the due date shall result in an administrative sanction of between 100 and 300 euros.
Failure to provide the required insurance cover results in suspension of the activity and, after 30 days, revocation of the authorisation.
Operations must be carried out on a regular basis. The owner who intends to temporarily close the agency must give prior notice, indicating the reasons and duration, to the competent tourism service. The period of closure may not exceed a total of three months per year.
The Director in charge of tourism may authorise, at the holder's request, the closure of the agency for a further period not exceeding 3 months; only one extension is exceptionally allowed, up to a maximum of 6 months for serious and proven reasons.
If the closure occurs without notice or if the activity is not resumed after the notified or extended closure period, the authorisation may be revoked.
For temporary closures, the notice and/or application for authorisation must be submitted on the agency's letterhead and sent by pec to serv.turismo@pec.provincia.tn.it.
If the technical director ceases to work for the agency, he/she must be replaced within a period of 3 months. After this deadline, the authorisation shall be suspended until such time as he is replaced. The replacement in the technical responsibility of the agency shall be communicated to the department responsible for tourism, together with the internal documents (e.g. minutes of the BoD) attesting to the change of director.
The application must be submitted using the appropriate form (see)
The takeover of the travel and tourism agency and the change in the location of the premises are permitted subject to the submission to the competent provincial service of a Certified Declaration of Start of Business (SCIA). The activity may be commenced from the moment the SCIA is presented, unless, within a period of 30 days, the competent Office adopts reasoned prohibition measures. Failure to submit the SCIA entails the application of an administrative sanction of the payment of a sum of between €300.00 and €1,500.00. The sanction is doubled in case of recidivism.
The application must be submitted using the appropriate forms(see Change of location and change of ownership)
Changes in the name of the agency are subject to authorisation by the Head of the Tourism Department. If changes are made in the absence of the prescribed authorisation, an administrative sanction of the payment of a sum of between EUR 154 and EUR 929 shall apply; the original authorisation shall also be suspended for up to six months.
The authorisation must be submitted using the appropriate form. (see)
Before submitting the forms, please check carefully that all the documents indicated on the forms are attached. Please also ensure that a revenue stamp is affixed.
