Description
Pupils with disabilities attending primary, secondary or lower secondary schools and Vocational Training Centres may request reimbursement of their school transport season ticket if
- they have not benefited, during the school year in question, from special transport services other than those related to school attendance
- they are in possession of one of the following documents
a) persons under 18 years of age
- certificate/verbal of civil invalidity attesting to the impossibility of walking independently without the help of an accompanying person (code 05) or the impossibility of performing daily acts of living (code 06) or recognising the minor as having persistent difficulties in performing the tasks and functions of his/her age (code 07)
- certificate/verbal of disability attesting to the state of blindness (absolute blindness, blindness with visual residue not exceeding 1/20 in both eyes, blindness with visual residue not exceeding one tenth;
- disability certificate/verbal attesting to the status of deaf-mute;
- certificate of disability with connotation of seriousness (Article 3, paragraph 3, Law no. 104 of 5 February 1992) issued by the ASL (local health authority) Commissions specifying the serious limitation of walking ability.
b) persons over the age of 18,
- one of the previous certificates (with the exclusion of the one bearing the code 07 relating only to minors)
- alternatively, the civil invalidity certificate/verbal recognising a disability greater than or equal to 74% (code 03 or 04).
Restrictions
The application may be submitted by the August of each school year.
