Information, instructions, regulations and forms for submitting an application for a contribution by means of an assessment procedure for the implementation of promotion campaigns in favour of youth sport.

Description

It is a contribution for the realisation in the province of campaigns to promote the knowledge and practice of sporting activities aimed at encouraging, even alternatively
(a) the initiation into sport of young people up to the age of 14;
b) multi-sport courses of at least three disciplines for young people up to the age of 14.

The promotional campaigns referred to in the previous point may also be carried out outside the province if they are carried out by sports associations and clubs with registered offices in the Province of Trento but obliged to carry out sporting activities outside the province due to the proven lack or unavailability of suitable sports facilities.

Applications are admissible if they involve an expense of no less than €8,000 and relate to initiatives that are to be carried out during the sports season ending in the year following the year in which the application is submitted. In the event that the realisation of the initiatives falls over two calendar years, they are deemed to relate to the year in which they are concluded.

Applications for a grant under the assessment procedure are submitted
a) in simple form by the individual association or sports club
b) in aggregate form by the individual sports association or club, acting as lead partner, in partnership with other sports associations or clubs or other public bodies or private entities, having their registered office in the Province of Trento and recognised by CONI or CIP or registered in the register of voluntary organisations, established pursuant to Provincial Law no. 8 of 13 February 1992. In this case, all administrative and financial relationships shall be with the lead organisation, whereas the partner organisations must declare that they are active participants in the project.

All of the following expenses are eligible, referring to the sporting season in which the activity that is the subject of the grant takes place and which ends in the year following the year in which the application is submitted
(a) publicising the initiative;
(b) purchase of materials and services supporting the initiative
(c) rental of sports equipment, facilities or spaces
(d) reimbursements and compensation to the following sports workers: coaches, instructors, athletic trainers;
(e) reimbursements and compensation to registered sports technicians;
(f) reimbursements to sports volunteers;
(g) medical and sporting examinations of athletes;
(h) athletes' travel expenses, if incurred directly by the sports association or club.

For the initiation into sport of young people up to the age of 14, the contribution is granted to the extent of 15% of the eligible expenditure, up to a maximum of €40,000 and in any case within the limits of the deficit and available resources.

For multi-sport courses of at least three disciplines for young people up to the age of 14, the contribution is granted to the extent of 30% of the eligible expenditure, up to a maximum of €40,000 and in any case within the limits of the deficit and the available resources.

The amount of the contribution is increased by 5 percentage points if the promotion campaigns foresee the active involvement of Olympic testimonials in actions aimed at learning, putting into practice and spreading Olympic values (fair play, participation, friendship, loyalty, solidarity, commitment, respect, courage, self-improvement, peace, equality, internationalism) and/or Paralympic values (courage, determination, inspiration, equality).

Without prejudice to the maximum contribution limit of €40,000, the amount of the contribution may be increased by 10% for campaigns identified by the Provincial Council that are of particular value in terms of initiating young people into sport and initiatives aimed at fostering social cohesion.

The contribution is provided for by Article 15, paragraph 1, letter b) of Provincial Law no. 4 of 21 April 2016 "Provincial Law on Sport 2016".
