Grants for the organisation of sports events (automatic)

It is a contribution for the occasional organisation of sporting events of provincial, regional, interregional, national or international interest, carried out within the province, with an expected expenditure of between €6,000.00 and €25,000.00.

The events must have been approved by or included in the calendars of the competent national sports federations, associated sports disciplines, sports promotion bodies, meritorious associations or military sports groups and State bodies to which the sports club is affiliated.

The following expenses are eligible
(a) promotion of the initiative, publication and dissemination of results
(b) rental of sports facilities or spaces and their fitting out, including outdoors
c) the services of referees, competition judges, medical and para-medical staff, qualified technical staff, occasional collaborators
d) reimbursements for transport, board and lodging related to the professional performance of the persons indicated in letter c) above, excluding tourist tax;
e) federal taxes;
f) hire of equipment, sports instruments or motor vehicles;
g) ambulance, public safety and sports safety services;
h) refreshments for participants, with a maximum limit of 20% of the cost incurred for this expenditure
i) prizes, with a maximum limit of €3,000.00 and the exclusion of cash prizes.

The costs must have been incurred in the year of presentation and in the quarter preceding the event. If the event falls over two calendar years, it is deemed to have been carried out in the year in which it concludes and expenses incurred in the quarter preceding the date of conclusion and in the year of conclusion are eligible.

The contribution is granted at the rate of 15% of the eligible expenditure. It may be increased up to a maximum of 10% for events identified by the Provincial Council that denote particular value with respect to the categories of athletes and/or particular relevance for the area or historicity, or particular attention to promoting gender equality and/or social cohesion.

The contribution is provided for in Article 15, paragraph 1, letter a) of Provincial Law no. 4 "Provincial Law on Sport 2016" of 21 April 2016.

Each applicant may submit a maximum of five applications per year.

Sports associations and clubs entered in the National Register of Amateur Sports Activities and regularly affiliated to a committee or provincial delegation of the national sports federations, to a sports promotion body or to an associated sports discipline

Promoter committees or associations or companies promoting sporting events or events that do not have their own registered athletes or have fewer than 10, or that carry out their activity in an episodic manner substantially limited to the events organised or do not have a youth sector.

The application must be signed by the president of the sports organisation.

1. Application completed in full, dated and signed.
2. Statement of expenditure incurred and income earned, dated and signed.
3. List of expenditure documents on prepared form, either in PDF or Excel format.
4. Receipt of receipted copies of invoices or other documentation of equivalent probative value relating to all expenses set out in the statement.
5. Information pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation No 679 of 2016, dated and signed.
6. Photocopy of an identity document of the applicant, if the application is signed with a handwritten signature on a scanned document and not in the presence of the employee in charge.

The application for support under the automatic procedure for initiatives completed in October, November or December 2024 must be submitted between 1 January and 31 October 2025.
