Grants for the organisation of sporting events (payment)

This is the application submitted by sports associations or clubs, organising committees, and associations or organisations promoting sporting events or competitions that have been awarded a grant for the one-off organisation of sporting events of provincial, regional, inter-regional, national or international interest held within the province.

The grant is awarded at a rate of 30 per cent of eligible expenditure for the portion up to 50,000 euros, and 20 per cent of eligible expenditure for the portion exceeding 50,000 euros, subject in all cases to the limit of the deficit and the grant awarded.

This grant is provided for under Article 15(1)(a) of Provincial Law No. 4 of 21 April 2016, the “2016 Provincial Law on Sport”.

The applicant must have previously submitted an application for a grant, and the grant must have been awarded to them by a decision of the head of the provincial department responsible for sport.

Amateur sports associations and clubs, or organising committees, or associations or organisations organising sporting events, to which the requested grant has been awarded by decision of the head of the provincial department responsible for sport.

The application must be signed by the legal representative of the sports organisation.

1. An application form completed in full, dated and signed.
2. A statement of expenditure incurred and income received, dated and signed.
3. A list of expenditure documents on the designated form, in either spreadsheet or PDF format, dated and signed.
4. Number of travellers or participants.
5. Privacy notice pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation No 679 of 2016, dated and signed.
6. A photocopy of the applicant’s identity document, if the application is signed by hand on a scanned document and not in the presence of the relevant staff member.

The application for payment must be submitted upon completion of the activity and, in any event – unless otherwise specified in the decision granting the grant – by 31 December of the year following that in which the grant application was submitted (or by 31 December of the same year in the case of applications relating to events that cannot be planned in advance).
