This is a grant for the occasional organisation of sporting events of provincial, regional, inter-regional, national or international interest carried out within the province, with planned expenditure of between €5,000 and €100,000.
The events must be approved by or included in the calendars of the competent national sports federations, associated sports disciplines, sports promotion bodies, meritorious associations or military sports groups and State bodies to which the sports club is affiliated.
The following costs, relating both to the preparation and to the execution of the activity for which the grant is awarded, are eligible
(a) publicising the initiative and publishing and disseminating the results;
(b) rental of sports facilities or spaces and their preparation, including outdoors
c) services rendered by referees, competition judges, medical and paramedical staff, qualified technical staff, collaborators, limited to the execution of the event or the setting up of the spaces, provided that they can be unequivocally attributed to the event
d) reimbursements for transport, board and lodging related to the professional performance of the persons indicated in letter c) above;
e) federal fees;
f) hire of equipment, sports instruments and motor vehicles;
g) ambulance, public safety and sports safety services;
h) prizes in the form of material goods, with a maximum limit of €3,000 and the exclusion of cash prizes;
(i) participants' compensation, up to a limit of 20% of the relevant expenditure.
The contribution is granted to the extent of
a) 30% of the eligible expenditure, for the part up to 50,000 euro, and in any case within the limits of the deficit and available resources;
b) 20% of the eligible expenditure, for the part exceeding €50,000, and in any case within the limits of the deficit and the available resources.
Without prejudice to the upper limit referred to in the preceding paragraph, the amount of the contribution may be increased by 10% for events identified by the Provincial Council that denote particular value with respect to the categories of athletes and/or particular sporting and/or tourist relevance for the area or historical significance, or particular attention to promoting gender equality and/or social cohesion.
Each applicant must submit one application for each event organised, subject to a limit of 5 applications per year.
All expenses relating to both the preparation and the execution of the activity that is the subject of the grant are eligible.
On the basis of the available resources, established annually by the Provincial Council, all eligible applications are financed. If the available resources are not sufficient to fully fund the admitted applications, the contribution will be proportionally redetermined among all of them.

| ATTENTION As of 1 April 2026, access to provincial grants and subsidies by beneficiaries who are registered in the companies' register and who are in possession of real estate in their property, is subject to the stipulation of an insurance policy to cover damages caused by natural disasters and catastrophic events to the assets referred to in Article 2424, first paragraph, section Assets, item B-II, numbers 1), 2) and 3) of the Civil Code (= land and buildings plant and machinery; industrial and commercial equipment), implemented at provincial level by Resolution of the Provincial Council no. 2114 of 19 December 2025. The policy must be in place at the time the grant is awarded and remain in place for the duration of the initiatives. Failure to comply with the insurance obligation will result in the rejection of the incentive. |
