Description
This grant is awarded to cover the costs incurred for rehabilitation and specialist care at facilities accredited by or affiliated with the National Health Service, including those across borders, as well as for the purchase of assistive devices, where these are not already provided for under current health or social care legislation.
Each beneficiary may submit multiple applications over several years, up to the amount specified in Article 28 of Provincial Law No. 4/2016 and within the limits of the resources available in the provincial budget.
The first application must be submitted within three years of the date of the report certifying permanent civil disability issued by the Forensic Medicine Unit of the Provincial Health Services Agency of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
Eligible expenses, inclusive of VAT, are those relating to:
a) rehabilitation;
b) specialist care;
c) hospitalisation for rehabilitation and/or specialist care and for respite care;
d) the purchase of direct and indirect aids.
The expenses described above must be consistent with the care plan drawn up for the patient by the Provincial Health Services Authority of the Autonomous Province of Trento and must have been incurred after the submission of the initial application; they must be clearly attributable to the disabling event and must not already be covered by the National Health Service, the social care service or sports insurance.
Solidarity funding is granted at 100 per cent of eligible expenditure, up to the limit set out in Article 28 of Provincial Law No. 4/2016, amounting to 50,000 euros.
