Description
The application for assistance for the 2023 call for proposals for the recovery of chestnut groves (private intervention) concerns the following types of intervention
A. RECOVERY AND/OR MAINTENANCE OF CHESTNUT GROVES FOR LANDSCAPE PURPOSES - MAXIMUM 8 TREES PER BENEFICIARY:
- A1. Recovery of historic chestnut trees in a state of abandonment through restoration pruning using tree climbing techniques. Pruning and removal of all woody material, alternatively with chipping on site;
- A2. Maintenance of historical chestnut trees with dry or damaged branches by means of restoration and/or rejuvenation pruning using tree climbing techniques. Pruning and removal of all woody material, alternatively with chipping in situ.
B. EVENTUAL REHABILITATION - SYSTEMATISATION of the area directly connected to the plant being supported:
- B1. REHABILITATION OF LAND UNDER historical chestnut trees that are in a state of abandonment through the cutting of the competing tree vegetation over an area of 200 square metres around the plant (circle with a radius of 8 metres), including the setting up and removal of all wood material, alternatively with chipping on site;
- B2. Slope improvement works with modest levelling and/or stump levelling and/or stump milling exclusively in correspondence with the recovered plants, sowing of all loose areas.
