Funding for sector-specific marketing projects (agri-food) – 2025

These grants may be applied for to support initiatives relating to sector-specific marketing projects, carried out directly by bodies or organisations representing the province’s economic sectors and aimed at promoting the success of goods and services provided by Trentino-based businesses in the markets. 

Eligible activities relate to marketing initiatives to be undertaken during the reference year of the application and which are specified and described within the operational plan of the marketing project.

The provincial grant is set at a maximum of 50 per cent of eligible expenditure.

The following limits on eligible expenditure apply:

- theminimum eligible expenditure is 20,000.00 euros;

- themaximum eligible expenditure is 3 per cent of gross saleable production(in the absence of this figure, revenue from sales and services is used as a reference).

This subsidy is provided forunder Article 23(2) of Provincial Law No. 6 of 13 December 1999, ‘Provincial Law on Incentives for Businesses’.

The beneficiaries are the bodies and organisations representing the provincial economic sectors.

An organisation or entity is considered representative of its sector when its share of production in Trentino is at least 75 per cent of its total production and when one of the following conditions is met:

- it is the sole representative organisation in the relevant economic sector;

- it represents at least 50 per cent of the gross saleable output of the economic sector in which it operates.

Applications for the subsidy, relating to the agricultural and agri-food sector, must be submitted using theform provided by the administration, duly completed in full, accompanied by the required attachments and the revenue stamp (where required), and must be sent inPDFformat to the certified email address:umst.agricoltura@pec.provincia.tn.it  

Pursuant to Article 29 of the Criteria (Annex 2, Resolution No. 693/2025), the subsidies are paid out annually, once the annual grant decision has become enforceable. The application for the final payment must be submitted, using the form provided by the administration, upon full completion of the initiatives and within one year of the deadline set for their completion (31 December or 28 February in the event of an extension). The following must be attached to the application: a statement of expenditure incurred, an explanatory report describing the activities carried out, a declaration that no other subsidy has been received, and a report from the internal audit body (or an auditor) certifying the accuracy of the documentation supporting the reported expenditure. If at least 25 per cent of the eligible expenditure has been incurred, the beneficiary may apply for an advance payment equal to 50 per cent of the grant. In this case, in addition to the application form, a statement of expenditure incurred must be submitted.

If beneficiaries do not have an internal audit body or an auditing firm, or do not have a person authorised to issue the statutory declaration, payment of the grant is requested by submitting appropriate expenditure documentation (invoices) with payment receipts.

Please note: the expenditure documentation must comply with the guidelines on the inclusion of the Unique Project Code (CUP).

The following documents must be attached to the application form provided:

a)a three-year strategic marketing plan, accompanied by a report on any previous project, including final figures and assessments, limited to the first three (3) years of the funding application;

b)a reportcontaining financial and organisational information on the beneficiary;

c)an annual operational plan;

d) documentation for an anti-mafia information request, where required by law;

e) Privacy notice pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation No 679 of 2016 (privacy notice)

f)declaration regarding state aid schemes;

g)a photocopy of the applicant’s valid identity document(if the application is signed by hand and not in the presence of the designated employee or with a digital signature).

The deadlines for submitting applications for financial assistance have passed.

Applications for payment may be submitted by 31 December 2026, subject to any extensions granted until 28 February 2027 in respect of the reporting deadlines.
