Contributions for damage caused by the calamity of 28 and 29 July 2024 - vehicles

During the night between 28 and 29 July 2024, severe thunderstorms caused some debris flows and instability in several localities of the provincial territory, hitting in particular the territories of the municipalities of Altopiano della Vigolana and Trento.

Damaged private individuals can apply for a contribution for the repair or purchase of vehicles for private use damaged and destroyed or rendered unusable by the calamitous event, falling within the categories of mopeds (art. 52), motorbikes (art. 53) and motor vehicles (art. 54) of the New Highway Code (Legislative Decree no. 285 of 30 April 1992) and caravan-type trailers, according to the criteria approved by the Council Resolution no. 1367 of 06 September 2024.

More specifically, the following types of intervention are eligible for aid

• the purchase of a new vehicle to replace the one destroyed or rendered useless by the disaster (falling within the above categories)
• repairs to vehicles (falling within the above categories) damaged by the disaster.

The application may be submitted from 1 October to 31 December 2024.

The granting of contributions or compensation is subject to the following assessments

• verification that the vehicle is among those affected by the disaster;
• verification that the vehicle is actually unserviceable; and
• verification of the necessity and appropriateness of the repair work.

If the damaged vehicle is covered by insurance, the eligible expenditure is reduced by the amount paid by the insurance company.

Owners of vehicles for private use that were damaged and destroyed or rendered unusable by the calamitous event of 28 and 29 July 2024 that fall under the categories of mopeds (art. 52), motorbikes (art. 53) and motor vehicles (art. 54) of the New Highway Code (Legislative Decree no. 285 of 30 April 1992) and caravan-type trailers.

The application must be submitted by the owner of the damaged vehicle.

The application may be submitted in the following alternative ways

• online, by logging in using the button on this page in the 'Digital channels' section and authenticating yourself in accordance with the prescribed methods (SPID, CIE, CPS/CNS)
• ordinary or certified e-mail at the address: serv.prevenzionerischi@pec.provincia.tn.it
  The documentation (application form and attachments) must be signed with a digital signature or a handwritten signature, scanned and attached to the email message. In the case of signature by hand, a copy of the subscriber's identity document must be attached;
• postal service (by registered mail with return receipt) together with a copy of the subscriber's identity document.
  Compliance with the submission deadline is documented by the date of dispatch;
• direct delivery to the competent provincial structure (Servizio Prevenzione Risks e Centrale Unico di Emergenza - via Vannetti, 41, 1° floor - 38122 Trento) or through the peripheral assistance and information desks of the province.

Contributions are granted in chronological order of the date of receipt of the applications as well as of any integrations.

The contributions are disbursed, subject to the cash budget of the Province, in a single instalment following their grant, on the basis of appropriate fiscal expenditure documentation, within 30 days from the submission of the required documentation.
