Contributions for damage caused by the calamity of 28 and 29 July 2024 - buildings

During the night of 28-29 July 2024, severe thunderstorms caused a number of debris flows and instability in various parts of the provincial territory, affecting in particular the municipalities of Altopiano della Vigolana and Trento.

Damaged private individuals may apply for a contribution or compensation for the damage suffered, as well as for the resumption of normal living conditions, in accordance with the criteria and procedures established by Council Resolution No. 1367 of 06 September 2024.

Specifically, the following expenses are eligible for aid

• demolition, repair and reconstruction of buildings used as dwellings and their appurtenances, including any clearing of materials and other operations functional to repair and reconstruction
• furniture, household appliances and main equipment of dwellings.

The application may be submitted from 1 October to 31 December 2024.

The works must be completed within two years from the date of the grant award. Expenditure reports must be submitted within 30 days of the deadline for completion of the works. The deadline for completion of the works may be extended once only for a maximum period of one year and the deadline for reporting expenses for a further 30 days.

Contributions cannot be combined with tax deductions provided for renovation and energy-saving measures in respect of the works eligible for assistance. They are also not cumulative with any financial assistance granted directly by the State.

Private individuals owning residential property damaged by the calamitous event of 28 and 29 July 2024 in the municipalities of Altopiano della Vigolana and Trento.

Contributions may also be granted in favour of individuals who, at the time of the disaster, were the main occupants of the damaged, destroyed or unusable property units, provided they had acquired ownership or usufruct at the time the contributions were granted.

The application must be submitted by the owner of the damaged property.

The application may also be submitted by persons who, at the time of the disaster, are the main occupants of the damaged, destroyed or unusable real estate units, provided that they have acquired ownership or usufruct at the time of the grant.

In the case of condominiums, for damage to common parts, the application for the grant is submitted by theadministrator.

The condominium administrator may be delegated by the owners to submit the grant application for the damage to their property.

The application may be submitted in the following alternative ways

• online, by logging in using the button on this page in the 'Digital channels' section and authenticating yourself in accordance with the prescribed methods (SPID, CIE, CPS/CNS)
• ordinary or certified e-mail at the address: serv.prevenzionerischi@pec.provincia.tn.it
  The documentation (application form and attachments) must be signed with a digital signature or a handwritten signature, scanned and attached to the email message. In the case of signature by hand, a copy of the subscriber's identity document must be attached;
• postal service (by registered mail with return receipt) together with a copy of the subscriber's identity document.
  Compliance with the submission deadline is documented by the date of dispatch;
• direct delivery to the competent provincial structure (Servizio Prevenzione Risks e Centrale Unico di Emergenza - via Vannetti, 41, 1° floor - 38122 Trento) or through the peripheral assistance and information desks of the province.

Grants are awarded in chronological order of the date of receipt of applications and any additions.

Once the grant has been awarded, the applicant shall submit the necessary documentation for the accounting of the expenses incurred in order to obtain its payment.

The contributions are paid in a single instalment, subject to the cash budget of the Province, following the reporting of the expenses incurred.
