The competent structure takes care of the examination of the applications, verifies the eligibility of the expenditure, in particular
- the adequacy of the expenditure in relation to the number of volunteers belonging to the applicant organisation
- that the action for which the grant is requested has not already been funded in the last three financial years.

The Director of the competent structure, within 90 days from the deadline for submitting the applications, adopts the measure approving the funding programme and granting the contribution.
The financing programme indicates, with reference to each admitted application, the contribution granted for each type of intervention:
a. the purchase and/or technical adaptation to safety and health protection provisions of equipment and personal protective equipment provided for by the regulations in force;
b. the purchase and/or technical adaptation to safety provisions and the protection of the physical health of equipment and means used in carrying out civil protection activities by volunteers belonging to voluntary organisations
of volunteers referred to in Article 1.
If the available resources are not sufficient to finance the eligible expenditure, a proportional reduction will be made for each application by an equal percentage for each organisation, defined by the ratio between the resources
available resources and the sum of the grant applications, understood as the total eligible expenditure.
The grant shall be paid out, subject to the cash availability of the Province, in two instalments
- 70% within 30 days from the decision to grant the contribution, subject to the transmission of the purchase orders certifying the actual cash requirements;
- the balance, equal to 30% of the total, within 28.2 (twenty-eight February) of the year following the year in which the advance payment was made upon presentation to the competent structure of the statement attesting the correct use of the sum granted in accordance with the D.P.G.P. 5 June 2000, no. 9-27 Leg.

If, during the statement of accounts, any lower expenditure emerges with respect to the granted contribution, the manager of the competent structure shall redetermine the contribution by reducing the same by the portion equal to the lower expenditure incurred and
amount equal to the lower expenditure incurred and shall order the partial cancellation of the grant.
In the event of partial revocation of the grant, the grant shall be repaid with interest calculated at the statutory rate from the date of the grant payment to the date of repayment.

Following the adoption of the measure ordering the forfeiture of the benefit granted to the interested party, the Provincial Administration shall recover the sums unduly disbursed in the forms provided for by the regulations in force, increased by interest calculated at the legal rate from the date of disbursement to the date of reimbursement.
