Authorisation for atmospheric emissions from newly installed industrial, civil thermal, production and mixed installations or subject to conversions or extensions

Description

Authorisations for emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere are divided into:

  1. Ordinary procedure authorisations: authorisation for the installation of plants and activities giving rise to atmospheric emissions, both in ducted and diffuse form, and for substantial modifications to plants already authorised (Articles 8 and 8 bis of the T.U.L.P. on the protection of the environment from pollution and Article 269 of Legislative Decree 152/2006), as well as for non-substantial modifications of already authorised plants (Articles 8 and 8 ter of the T.U.L.P. on the protection of the environment from pollution and Article 281 of Legislative Decree 152/2006). The authorisation is valid for 15 years from the date of issue.
  2. General Authorisation(GVA): notification of adherence to the general authorisation for atmospheric emissions. The authorisation is valid for 15 years from the date of submission of the accession communication. For the communication, please refer to the specific service ' General authorisation for atmospheric emissions'.

Who it's for

Persons carrying out business activities must apply for the authorisation of emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere under the Single Territorial Authorisation (AUT) or the Integrated Environmental Authorisation (AIA) so, in case of doubt, please refer to the specific Service sheets: "Apply for the Single Territorial Authorisation (AUT)" o "Request Integrated Environmental Authorisation (AIA)". .

Entities or entities that do not carry out business activities must use the atmospheric emissions forms of the ordinary procedure or the AVGs depending on the type of activity.

The application may be submitted by the legal representative of the company (or Entity) or its delegate (attaching the written proxy to the application).
