Description
Two new levels of the Seismic Microzonation Map of Trentino, which describes the local effects due to earthquakes, are published online(Consult Webgis ). This map is used for territorial planning and represents a useful tool for professionals for the geological knowledge of the territory and, in particular, of the elements that locally contribute to the onset of specific effects due to earthquakes (e.g. shaking amplification and instability).
The Map of Investigations and the Geological-Technical Map are now available. The first collects and classifies the investigations, direct or indirect, available on the territory (e.g. surveys and geophysical tests). The second collects the available geological, geomorphological, geotechnical and hydrogeological information for the definition of the subsurface model useful for seismic purposes.
Both new maps consider the entire provincial territory and have been drawn up adopting the Standards for Computer Representation and Archiving, i.e. the criteria shared on a national scale for seismic microzonation.
