Description
The new measure was introduced by Article 41 of Provincial Law No. 9 'Assestamento del bilancio di previsione della Provincia autonoma di Trento per gli esercizi finanziari 2023 - 2025' of 8 August 2023, which amends the provincial law on sport and allocates the sum of EUR 150,000 for 2023.
Eligible to apply are amateur sports associations and clubs operating in the province, registered with CONI or CIP, regularly affiliated with national sports federations or associated sports disciplines or sports promotion bodies or well-deserving associations or military sports groups and State bodies recognised by CONI or CIP, which regularly carry out activities in the course of the sporting year in the disciplines regulated by the federations or associated sports disciplines recognised by CONI or CIP, as well as companies, cooperative societies and non-commercial bodies operating in the province.
The training courses must concern training in social security and tax matters, language learning, the use of communication tools or other training areas relevant to sporting activity such as sports nutrition, the practice of correct lifestyles, and the prevention of the health and wellbeing of athletes.
The contribution is granted to the extent of 90% of the eligible expenditure with a maximum limit of EUR 30,000 for each training project, within the deficit limit of the financial plan, within the limit of the available resources and, where applicable, within the limit of the "de minimis" threshold.
The grant is awarded on the basis of a merit ranking in descending order of points within 30 days from the date of submission of applications.
Expenditure incurred as from 9 August 2023 is eligible, while projects must be implemented by 31 December 2023 and accounted for by 20 January 2024.
Private entities that also carry out economic activities with a commercial purpose must keep separate accounts for such commercial activities from which the costs referable to the project proposal submitted must be distinguished. In the event that the funding also benefits the economic activities of entities carrying out commercial activities, Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid shall apply (OJEU 24 December 2013, No L352).
